Mommas,
This next co-op covers 3 weeks of TOG work and I know the reality is that many of us will need to simplify or pick and choose on topics/reading. I have attached an assignment with a few questions but if your family if following different "threads" feel free to substitute a question relevant to your student's reading. There are so many interesting/exciting threads to choose from. My plan for co-op 12 is to discuss some of the topics touched on but we will also be doing a hands on project related to Greek architecture.

Please see attached for the assignment due at Co-op 13. Please be sure your student comes having completed the assigned Bible reading for weeks 28 & 29 as we will be digging into those passages in our class discussion. You may also want to consider Question 4 on the assignment as optional - depending on your students workload, interest, and ability. I sure enjoyed watching your students display their creativity on the Greek columns project!

Thanks to all of you for making it possible for your students to connect through Zoom this morning. I hope you all have a wonderful Spring Break and Easter and that we'll be able to gather in person next co-op. I wanted to go ahead and post a document as promised to your students this morning and their homework for next co-op. I want to add that is just so gracious of the Lord to have us reading about the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus right in the midst of the Easter season. While I did not assign questions directly related to this, the curriculum has great questions you may want to discuss with your children.
Attached are three documents: homework, Map of Early Church, and Punic Wars-JC Teacher
You'll want to print the first two for your student's homework for Co-op 15
The Punic Wars-JC Teacher map you may want to open for your student if they felt like they missed the notes from our discussion this morning. They can use it to complete the blankish map I posted prior to our Zoom Class.

So as not to over burden students/families with zoom classes and because the TOG content was fairly Bible-focused, I opted not to do a zoom class this co-op. Attached you will find some notes that you can use if you'd like to discuss the material with your student(s). If students would like to submit their homework via email or google docs, I'd be glad to provide feedback.
I'm attaching several extra documents here. I should have pointed out that the scale changes on the timeline once you reach the AD years (each page covers 50 years) - you may want to point that out to your student if they have not already noticed that. Please note that I included many extra dates on my timeline as I was trying to wrap my own brain around both the Roman Emperors and Roman leaders in Judea. You do not necessarily need to print those or give show them to your student unless they are just really digging the timeline work. I'm also attaching my map of Paul's voyages - I included extra cities on there as well to give myself some touchpoints as I traced his missionary journeys. Again, you can determine whether or not it will be helpful to share that with your student(s). I'm struggling to get the pdf in a landscape view. If it opens on your device in Adobe Acrobat, you may want to click view, rotate view, clockwise for an easier look. Finally, I'm attaching a photograph of the tabernacle model we built earlier in the year as the home discussion notes refer to it.
If this is all too much in the midst of life, please don't feel pressed to utilize any of it. Freedom and grace to each of you - life is very challenging right now!
I hope to have the homework for Co-op 16 posted by Thursday evening.
Blessings-
Ellen
