R Writing due co-op 10

Your syllabus says to write a poem using the elements of Biblical poetry for the second week of work (first week is just submitting the NRTL, postmarked by Saturday, and preparing a review lesson for returning students).
We did not get to cover as much in class as I would like for students to tackle the assignment, so I told them to do three things:
1) Complete the analysis of the poem in your class notes, marking all the instances of the elements of Biblical poetry you can find
2) Read several Psalms. Note, most of them are lyric poems (poems whose main topic is simply thoughts about human emotions).
3) Write a poem reflecting your own emotions (reflecting on something in your life or on the characteristics of God, just as David does in Psalms, using as many elements of Biblical poetry as you can). This is basically what's assigned on the syllabus...BUT I will be grading it aware of the fact that we plowed through the info pretty quickly. For the next co-op, you'll have a chance to rewrite or write a new one with a deeper understanding of the topics.
Feel free to reach out with any questions. Look forward to reading the poems!
