Writing due co-op 12, February 29

For writing, complete assignments as listed on syllabus (and pasted below).

For class presentations, be ready to give a recap of the class notes on phrases (Nate), clauses (Karin), and sentences (Karsten).

Week one:
“The Israelites as a nation proved themselves to be arrogant, self-reliant, and unbelieving in the history of events that led up to the Babylonian captivity.” Assess the validity of this statement, using concrete examples from your study of history and the Bible.
One-two paragraphs OR 5-paragraph (parent choice).

Week two:
Write a short narrative in the first person about an Israelite man or woman who is coming back from exile. Include facts that you might put into essay one, but write it in a simple narrative format (narrative paragraph...not a short story with dialogue). Alternatively, you may include the info in a lament poem if you prefer.

Prepare 2nd review presentation.
