Hello Parents,
Here is the final unit for Dialectic Literature for the year. I want to make you aware as parents that the last unit of the year is more demanding academically than the first three units have been. Students are going to be asked to engage more and think more deeply about the topics and novels we are reading. I'd encourage you to secure these titles now so that your student has the maximum amount of time to thoughtfully complete their work. The Bronze Bow and Eagle of the Ninth also have versions available on Audible.

Some other things to note:
*The books we will be reading for the rest of the year are The Ides of April (Mary Ray), The Bronze Bow, and Eagle of the Ninth.
* The Bronze Bow is an excellent book, and the assignment for it is VERY detailed. It is not a single SAP page. It would be best to work on this packet as your student reads/listens to the book. Its available on Audible and would make good family reading (even with younger students!)
*Eagle of the Ninth does NOT have SAP questions. You will need to download the questions, the themes, and the map for that book here ;)
*For co-op 16 I would like students to do visual presentations on their favorite book or story of the year. I will hand out and cover the details of that in co-op 14, and we'll review those requirements in co-op 15. The requirements will also be posted on the forum by co-op 14.
*Students will be completing plot diagrams for each of our remaining books. That means you will need at least three copies of the plot diagram linked below.

I am looking forward to the rest of the year with your students! Happy reading!
