I'l made some changes from the syllabus assignment to better fit this class, so please refer only to the below for your assignment (not the syllabus):
Read LAW ch. 4, sections 2-3. Be sure to read it well; underline and jot notes as needed. Re-read as needed while you write.
• Contemplate Questions on both sections: jot notes for a discussion in class (include the notes to turn in to me--they can be sketchy as works for you).
• Complete Assignment 4 on LAW p. 53. (Incorporate the feedback you have on the intro paragraph referred to--# 3 p. 47.)
• Complete Assignments 5-6 on LAW p. 58 (For assignment 6, you are welcome to approve a different subject with me. IN FACT, I would recommend using your "Presidential debate" topic you used in class since you already did the ground work of organization for that one.)
TO TURN IN FOR CLASS:
1) Handwritten (sketchy is fine) notes from ch. 4 questions.
2) Finished/Polished essay completing your intro paragraph turned in for Assignment 3 on p. 47 (folksinging, conformist, education)
3) A complete (rough-draft) essay from Assignment 6 (using your in-class thesis work would be great, but feel free to pick another topic)
