Art/Humanities book list

Rhetoric Parents/Students,
I'm excited to present two short books/essays, one work each semester. They are approximately 60 pages each. After a little guided reading homework, we will have a short discussion during each co-op. The purpose of presenting these two works is to give credence and some understanding of today's art and artist.
With the time period we are studying, where much of the art is promoted by the church, I'm wanting to relate this to today and talk about the mindset of the church in relation to art and artist. In other words, make it relevant, especially since most of the class will graduate before talking about contemporary art.
