Dear Art Families,

Your students have brought their books home to finish cutting them over the next few weeks. I do not think they need more than an hour - but they all agreed to work on them for at least an hour before next coop. Thank you for helping hold them accountable. We will be finishing these sculptures in class and doing another small project next coop. Please be sure their books get brought back to next coop for completion.

If you brought paint brushes - I kept them for next time. They will also need markers and colored pencils.

Just FYI on what they are doing...
They should trace the template for each section that they cut.
You may want to be sure they have a ready available trash can/small bag like we used in class - so they do not leave paper bits all over your house :D
They should be cutting as "vertically" as possible with the scissors.
Using shorter sharp pointy scissors is easiest.
They can cut from both sides (top and bottom) of the book - either direction - whichever is easiest.
They/you may send pics/call/text/email me with questions.

These are coming out really beautifully - They can think about what color(s) they would like the edges to be as well. That will speed up the process next coop.

Blessings to you and your families --and a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Michelle
