For November 6, note two things:
For writing--this will be your only chance for feedback at co-op on your next (and last!) government essay. Please have as much progress done as possible and bring what you have to class. I will give feedback by the end of the day.
For literature--
Romantic Poets
Romantic Poets (Jody Ingalls)
1) Carefully read Literature section in TOG week 6 curriculum (quick quiz in class). PDF posted below.
2) Read the Poetics section referred to in assignment (p. 484-489 in Poetics (Appendix D, Metrical Poetry)
2) Read Wordsworth and Coleridge (only poems included in the anthology--not full list from week 6 pages).
3) Be familiar with the terms listed in the Lit. section (some will be on quiz).
4) Complete beginning level questions in the week 6 curriculum. (Use a copy of "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" from your anthology. Make an extra copy if you have two siblings sharing, so each student completes a full scansion of the poem.)
Next co-op will be combined Literature and Writing for the morning.
