1. Read Poetics:

B. The Social Novel in the Era of Realism (246)
C. English Literature in the Victorian Era (246-249)

2. Dickens biography

4. Read introduction to Rhetoric Literature for all weeks pertaining to Great Expectations. In my version, it is Weeks 20, 21, 22, 23. There should be in SAP area for literature in each of these weeks (these are not long). If your version does not line up and you can't find the corresponding weeks, reach out to Mrs. Pepper or Mrs. Ingalls.`

5. Read Great Expectations (first half required for next co-op, but feel free to read ahead--and plan to listen to or read the rest of the story after co-op if you don't read it all in time).

6. Dickens is most known for his ability to create amazing characters. Be prepared to discuss the main characters of this novel in terms of their
