Here is the adjusted assignment for next co-op:
DO NOT move on to Ch. 12 as noted on syllabus.
1) Finish ch. 11, assignments 4-6 (and any other assignments not completed for today.)
If your homework was returned to you with needed adjustments or with incomplete sections, complete that and bring to class next time as well. Be sure vocab sentences are periodic.
2) Prepare for the term paper:
Research the past essays for Krla. http://krla.org/?pn=8&ar=1#Focused
A) Peruse the winning essays from last year. Print one. Make note on your pages of principles learned in class: parallelism, essay structure (intro/concl elements, thesis, transitions, etc.), strong verbs, etc. Bring to next co-op with a few copies to share with the class (4 should be enough).
B) Pick a topic of interest to yourself for your essay.
C) Come to class with 3-4 possible sources, both online AND print. Make a list of sources to turn in to me in class. Be sure your sources are reputable and research worthy.
