LG Memory Work for Y2

Dear LG Moms,
What a great blessing and SO.MUCH.FUN it has been to be able to spend time with your kiddos this year.
Below are the items that we have recited together in class, with the goal to enjoy these works and also to memorize them. I'm sharing these with you because perhaps you'd like to reinforce these at home to cement them in your child's memory.
Unit One:
Shurley English Jingles (primarily nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diRKssutd4I
Unit Two:
Mother Goose Poetry (each child memorized their 'own' poems)
Unit Three:
"Kind Deeds" by Isaac Watts
We also reviewed these dates when creating the Colonial Times lap book:
1585 Roanoke Island (not a permanent settlement)
1607 Jamestown (first permanent English settlement)
1620 Plymouth or Plimoth Plantation (pilgrims)
Unit Four:
Psalm 8 (We just began reading this in Coop #15; I encourage you to read this at home daily if you'd like them to learn it.)
Schoolhouse Rock - Preamble to the Constitution ("We the people . . .) If you play this several times a week, the kids will probably memorize it with ease. We spent some time discussing what the words of the Preamble actually mean, but further explanation would help them to understand this important paragraph more fully.
