Music and Culture Class

I am attaching the links for the music and culture of the Great Depression and WWII.
We will only be spending a small time on these in class because of a a special guest speaker who is coming to Co-op 8. I will basically give a commercial for a lot of the things these documents contain. I would encourage you to build watching these into your school calendar over the holidays. Much of it is entertaining. But more than that, this music and culture is laying a ground work for the music and culture that is so much a part of our current world - for better or for worse. I truly believe that understanding how these "entertainments" began and how they connected to the time period in which they were created will help them become wise and careful consumers of the music, television, and film of our day.
