Unit Celebration Teams and Themes

Unit Celebrations - We LOVE them and we HATE them. . . but over time, we know that these events are the main FUN memories that our kids take away from their time in Tapestry of Grace.
A few reminders about Unit Celebration Teams:
Who? - ALL families must participate in planning one of the UCs. Consider your season of life when you choose your team. (for example, if you have a child getting married or graduating - don't pick that time of year)
What? - You will meet with your team to plan and execute the UC according to the theme. You will take on various responsibilities that might include food, invitations, games, activities, location, etc. Your team is basically planning a big history themed party for the rest of us to enjoy;)
When? - Your team will be given a general time of year with suggested dates. You will determine exact time and place according to your team's decisions.
Where? - UC 1 is typically outside. UC 2 is inside. UC 3 is outside as well. Your team will reserve a location based on overall plan. It is best to make these decisions now, if possible, in order to secure location. This might be difficult bc of Covid restrictions.
Why? - Unit Celebrations (just like co-op days) help us to do so many of the things that we value about home schooling, but that are difficult to do on our own: costumes, games, food, performances, displaying art and projects - PLUS - it is fun for us and for our kids to make memories outside of the classroom.
****As you look at the teams and themes:
