Dialectic History - Co-ops 10-11
Posted: Thu Jan 20, 2022 1:45 pm
This is an important post and a bit longer than usual. It includes 3 important attachments: an updated syllabus, the Co-op 10 Assignment, and information about student presentations that will happen at Co-op 11.
I have modified the syllabus for the second semester to better serve the key threads and schedule for Dialectic History. The main change is that we will be covering week 21 instead of Week 27. This will allow us to more fully engage with the Civil War along a timeline that works for student presentations as well. It shouldn't get us too far off track for those who also have students at other levels. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me.
You'll also see attached the assignment for Co-op 10, covering TOG weeks 21-22.
Finally, you'll see an attachment that explains the student presentations which will be given at Co-op 11 (Feb. 17). I wanted to go ahead and post that information so your student can begin thinking about that and perhaps gathering resources. There will not be a separate written assignment for Co-op 11. I will leave it to you to assign any general reading for weeks 23-24 to accompany your student's battle-specific research. To assign the battles, I simply went alphabetically down the roster. Again, please let me know if you have any questions.
Blessings-
