For March 3, please do the following:
1) Select one of the threads of notes you've been taking in Huck Finn so far.
2) Formulate a thesis (mentally or on paper, go from topic, to theme, to thesis as we did in class Thursday.)
At this stage of your learning at least, your thesis should do three things:
-pull in the author author or the book
-state how he/she portrays
-the theme you're discussing
Example: In DII, Tolstoy uses characters and plot to illustrate that true life is more than appearances and can only be found in honest living and selfless connections with others.

3) Send me your thesis by the Friday before TOG.
4) Write a short (page and a half) essay during the second week (once you've finished or almost finished the novel). Final draft due March 3.
