Humanities Rotation - Prep for Co-op 4

What a great time we had today playing M & M feudalism and making dioramas of medieval life. I'm thoroughly enjoying getting to know your students and am impressed overall with their engagement level and creativity.
To prepare for Co-op 4 your student will need to read The Door in the Wall by Marguerite de Angeli. This was noted on the syllabus so hopefully it is a reminder rather than a surprise. This is listed in TOG as an UG literature resource for weeks 8-10. If it is feasible for your family, please have your student complete the SAPs for this book found in weeks 8 and 9. We'll plan to discuss the SAP for Week 10 in class, but they don't need to come with that prepared. You might want to encourage your student to look for things they've discussed in both the Humanities and History classes - elements of feudalism, monasticism, medieval names, etc.
If your student has access to a hard copy of the book, please have them bring it to class - as we will look together at some of the literary devices used in the book. We will share as needed from the copies that are brought.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at candegreeley@bellsouth.net or call me at 502.439.3023
Blessings-
