I hope you will enjoy reading these plays. Plays are typically quick reads because you only have dialogue. I want you to read and then watch these excellent productions, because ultimately, plays were meant to be seen not just read. However, for literature class purposes, reading the actual script is important.
Remember that one of our goals in this class is to become a discerning consumer of stories. The majority of our cultures stories are portrayed on a screen - and they first had to have a story turned into a script. Script writing (play writing) is an artist form that requires a different skill set than and prose or poetry writing. Think about how you would write something if you could only use dialogue.
