Rhetoric Writing Co-op 6 (assignment includes 7-8 in breadth)

Attached please find the assignment/contest that will span co-ops 6-8.
Please note, there will be a separate assignment posted each co-op, but it will include this on-going project.
Due Co-op 6:
1) Vocab
2) Phrase exercise sheet (handwritten on page is fine)
3) Attached essay assignment/contest (specifics on what part is due co-op 6 is included)
Enjoy! I was researching essay contest ideas (a couple we've used before have fallen through) and found a couple essay contests offered by WKU (which required students to use pre-determined, biased sources) and one of the winning essays (which evidenced little ability to think logically and originally). I had not planned to dive into such a deep essay topic, but all other plans fell through, and God dropped this idea in our laps after praying and brainstorming ideas that would foster analytical thinking....inspired to do so after researching the WKU contests. The above should get students started for next co-op; we will cover relevant essay techniques in class next co-op in time before students start piecing the parts of the essay together.
