Please bring your paint brushes (if you purchased them) and the paperback book to the next two coops for art.
It would be super helpful if you label/mark/tag your paint brush handles as well... I will likely clean all the brushes after first class and leave for pick up in the afternoon. Last class may be rinsing and taking theirs home in baggies for proper cleaning at home due to time constraints.
Thank you!

Re: Art Coop #5 #6 - Bring Paint Brushes/Books
Dear Art Families,
Unfortunately, life has precluded me from adequately preparing for the still life paintings we are supposed to start this week. I will be swapping those out with a spring project - Table Decking, also known as tray painting, Bonseki (in Japan) and later "Marmotinto" or sand painting. This is a very old form of art creating a table decoration utilizing colored sand. During the Victorian Era (which is why we were going to do this in the spring), a Bavarian table decker named Benjamin Zorbel wanted to permanently keep his beautiful creations. He began to use a clear adhesive to keep his sand in place on a board. We will be creating fall scene table deckings on canvases in this fashion in honor of this unique art form which spans history!
If you like (not required, but short and very cool), you can view some of these videos on the original style (without adhesive) and one modern artist that does use adhesive.

Tibetian Monks.... THIS IS AMAZING - only a couple min.

this one is longer.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZE1LC6k1RlE
Benjamin Zorbel works - this is just an image search - you can see he created beautiful animals

SO...Supplies Needed THIS coop: please still bring your paperback books for me to hold until the next coop when we will use those.
I will be supplying older paint brushes for this task - so you will NOT need to bring your paint brushes this time
That is all
Thank you for being flexible. It is a blessing for me to make this change.
