Dialectic History - Co-op 2 Assignment

Post by EllenG »

What a great first class we had together! I threw a LOT of information at your kiddos and they seemed up for the challenge. I feel like the first TOG day is always tough to cover some introductory material and 3 weeks worth of content in 75 minutes. Hopefully it won't feel quite so rushed in the future. If you student didn't get to finish their president cards for Roosevelt, Taft, and Wilson, I'm including a picture of mine below. They don't have to include all/the same details I included, but hopefully it gives your students an idea of how to complete them.

I have also attached the assignment for Co-op 2 which covers TOG weeks 4-5. Question 1 refers to a mini-report related to World War I. And that title might even be a stretch. My hope is that your student can come prepared to share with their classmates some information they learned about that particular topic. They don't need to have a written report or visual aid. Just be prepared to share some information orally with their classmates. If you or your student has questions about the topic they chose, please feel free to reach out. Here's the list...

Noah - Poison Gas
Titus - Submarines
Jubilee - Home Front
Nate - Fighting Youth
Nolan - Sky Fighters
Erin - Women in Uniform

Have a blessed two weeks!
Ellen

Could you post a picture of what the timeline should look like? Thanks, Beth

Hope this helps! They truly have a lot of freedom on their timeline. It doesn't necessarily have to look like mine and they are welcome to add any other dates they would like as they are reading in History or other classes. The dates I post are just the minimum required. It is a tool for them to use to help them make connections...who is alive at the same time, what is happening in Europe when ____ is President.
