Ivan Illych:
Complete final draft (most of you were in great shape and should not have extensive work on this, but if you feel you need to take more time for this portion of the assignment than the below assignment allows, please have your parent reach out to me. I'd like everyone to move forward on solid footing for this next assignment).
Huck Finn:
See this link for the previous assignment for Huck Finn from Mrs. Pepper.

Let me know if you are not able to access the full assignment (google doc and attached PDFs).
NOTE:
Follow the assignment as written. It has a lot of parts, so look at it carefully and then reach out if you have questions. (Note, on the PDF that includes the map work, she has X-ed off number one. You don't need to complete that, though read the question for historical context.)
The Youtube links are about 7-8 minutes each. I do want to you to watch these (disclaimer: I have not watched them entirely yet; I assume the content is fine but I do not know about worldview, etc.)
In addition, please add this to your reading:
--WEAL chapter 3 (or whichever section in your book is titled "How to Generate Topics About Fiction." Read the chapter thoroughly. This is a repeat of what we've been talking about in class (and of what you've already read).
Pay a little extra attention to the section in "Point of View" titled "Questions about point of view" which talks about Huck Finn. I'll be referencing that in class.
HERE ARE SOME WORKING SAVING ADJUSTMENTS (parts of Mrs. Pepper's assignment you DO NOT need to complete fully):
1) For the listed literary terms--please BE FAMILIAR with the terms (I'll check in class for comprehension). No need to write them down at this juncture.
2) For the questions on the novel (the list of questions at the end of the google doc that ask about how the river is a symbol, how Huck's perception of Jim changes, etc.), PLEASE DO NOT write full answers to all of these. Keep them in mind as you read the book and be thinking about which of them you might use to create an essay topic. Jot notes and ideas as you read. Keep in mind the info from WEAL ch. 3. You will be assigned a full essay on the book after NEXT CO-OP, and the essay will be overwhelming if you don't have notes and thoughts already compiled.
