Note - the expectation is that you will need more room to answer the questions than what is provided on this assignment sheet!

You all were given the assignment in class, but here is the "official" notice - and the chart if you need it for the Incas and Aztecs.

Note, I have also included a chart for the explorers. The curriculum lists 20 :) The chart is not required, but I think it will be very helpful.

I started to make a list of the ones we wanted you to include on your map as a minimum, but I was pretty sure a lot of you would just do those and not consider the others, so instead, I would ask your moms to decide with you if leaving some of them off would be more beneficial to you. They are invited to let us know what to expect from you.

Enjoy.

Here is the list for discussion in rhetoric history for co-op 8.

Please remember the history class is not like the literature and writing classes where everyone really needs to do the same preparation. There is so much good material and topics in the history sections. We do not want to limit or even really direct the things you choose to do in your home.

We do not pick the "best" things from the weeks we are covering, nor the "most important." We try to pick things that make the best use of our collective time ( we are growing in that!), and give assignments to aid you with some accountability for your child.

It works well - actually in most ways better - if different students are more familiar with some of the things we discuss than others and if each has read and processed much more of the material than we can cover in class - even if they have all done different things.

We look forward to your letting us know that your child is going to do some different questions, or will have limited answers to what we ask on a particular week because you have directed them elsewhere.

Co-op 10 is scheduled as a presentation co-op. We will be assigning them particular people at co-op 8. If you would like something different, please let us know.

Thank you,
Erica

Dear Erica and Amber,

Anne and I are very happy with the format of the R Hx classes. And we are so thankful for the expert leadership of you both! Anne loves this time and says you both make it very interesting, worthwhile and FUN!

Gratefully,

Peggy
