Hi, parents.

The Lively Art of Writing is a conversationally-written book on essay writing that lives up to its name.

We plan to use this book as the core of Rhetoric Writing this year; I am excited to lead students through the book and am confident it will improve and inspire students' writing, whether they are beginning to build their essay skills or are honing in on the finer points of expressing themselves.

I plan to supplement with some extra classroom activities and possibly some additional writing assignments, but this book is all you need to purchase for the year.
