Rhetoric US Govt CoOp2

Post by TiffanyB »

Hello all,

Fine first day under our belts digging into the biblical basis of this fabulous entity called Gov-Ern-Ment! We hope rhetoric students left class getting the main point that knowing the character of God will help us know who we are and how we should live. Wow, will that shed some light on all kinds of great things as we break apart the cogs and gears of governments throughout history and eventually land on our own. Since we didn't finish our structured notes, they've been attached below so your notebooks can remain intact will all needed information.

Next CoOp the syllabus shows the reading assignment is Unit 2, which contains lessons 6-10. Attached below are the structured notes students will need to complete as they go about their reading. How lovely they are in order of how they appear in the text. Not our design but you’re welcome. 😊 Please, after completing these notes, PRINT AND PUT IN YOUR FOLDERS after the 2nd tab! Mean Mrs. Boren will be checking. ;)

CoOp 2 will begin with a brief multiple-choice quiz (hint: if you do your structured notes, you’ll have no problems with the quiz!). After our quiz we will touch on some big ideas, watch a brief video and then play a classic game of cards to hammer home how exciting all the various forms of government are!

** If you are interested in Teen Court, which Mrs. Pepper expounded upon, see the details below and do reach out to Judge Kim Shumate. She is a fabulous resource and incredibly welcoming for those interested in wanting to know more. Her email is 2020HCTC@gmail.com and phone 270-766-5004.

*** Take a moment to look up the Sharon Says So podcast on your listening platform and Instagram, if you have IG. We will be referencing this throughout the year and encourage specific ones to help us take a closer look at various aspects of government topics.

Thank you!
