Dialectic Writing: Year One
Beth and Jodie

Course Description: The goal of this class is to provide an opportunity for your students to receive instruction and critique to improve their writing. The complete course is based off of the Writing Aids curriculum found within the Tapestry of Grace curriculum and the weekly level 6
assignments for the year. Concepts will be taught in class with the parent considered as the main teacher at home. Beth will be the main teacher in class with Jodie grading the papers. Assignments will be grades and returned by the end of co-op day. There will also be a check
list sent home each week of what your student has finished so you and I both know they have completed their assignments. They will have a paper to turn in for each class and one page from their weekly grammar assignment.

Before each class: Students should have all work completed that is on the Syllabus.
